Unmixed student team members at the regional JA San Diego Rising Innovators Expo award ceremony

Junior Achievement of San Diego County (JA San Diego) is proud to announce that three student teams have earned the opportunity to represent the region on a national stage at the JA USA Future Bound student summit in Boston, MA, taking place June 8-11. Selected from thousands of students nationwide, these teams will compete in three JA competitions highlighting financial literacy, social innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Future Bound brings together more than 300 top-performing high school students across the country for four days of high-impact learning, competition, and leadership development. Students will demonstrate their skills on a national platform, showcasing their mastery of entrepreneurial, economic, and financial thinking through competitive challenges and presentations.

JA San Diego’s 2026 Future Bound teams reflect the diversity, creativity, and determination of local students:

  • LeBronicles from Monarch Schools will compete in the JA Stock Market Challenge, applying their investment knowledge to work together in building mock portfolios in a stock market simulation competition.
  • All Kids Swim from Santana High School will compete in the JA Social Innovation Challenge, presenting a mission-driven business that provides swim lessons to children with special needs while addressing community impact through entrepreneurial solutions.
  • Unmixed from Canyon Crest Academy will compete in the JA Company of the Year Competition, pitching their waste-free cookie mix kit and showcasing their entrepreneurial journey, business performance, and innovation.

Together, these teams reflect a generation of students stepping into their potential. As they apply classroom learning to relevant, real-world applications, they gain the skills, confidence, and experience to pursue their goals and shape their own futures.

“As a student-run company, being able to represent both our community and the work we have built together across the country is an incredibly rewarding experience for our entire team,” said Abigail L., CEO of Unmixed. “We are looking forward to representing San Diego while gaining new experiences, inspiration, and valuable knowledge that we can apply not only to Unmixed, but also to our future careers.”

In addition to competing, students will have the opportunity to present their ideas to national business leaders while participating in leadership development and entrepreneurship workshops designed to expand their skills and perspectives.
