GET INVOLVED!

Employee Volunteers

Corporate volunteer partnerships of any size are welcome to assist in implementing JA programs throughout the school year. By representing your company and industry to students, employee volunteers help students discover the dignity of work through the power of example.

Sponsor a McGrath Family JA BizTown shop

Sponsor a shop in the McGrath Family JA BizTown or Mission Fed JA Finance Park Shop over a three-year period. Sponsors design and build a shop in our mini-city for students to run as part of the program’s simulations.

Sponsor an Event

There are several JA events throughout the year with sponsorship opportunities, including our JA Stock Market Challenge and Golf Classic Tournament. Check out our events page to see current event sponsorship opportunities.

Sponsor a JA program

Companies can provide students with JA programs for free or at a reduced cost. This financial support increases JA’s ability to reach more students and specifically benefits students from underserved communities.

Host a Job Shadow or Career Panel

Companies can give high school students on-site an in-depth behind the scenes look into the world of work and provide insights into the day-to-day affairs of professionals in a specific industry by hosting an on-site job shadow.

Or, employees can visit the classroom for a career panel to share career experiences and help students discover different career paths and learn about different work environments.

Be a host site for the JA Youth Employment Program

Work with JA San Diego to place high school students with your company for a work-based learning experience that provides students the opportunity to understand workplace expectations and explore an industry they are interested in pursing.
