Junior Achievement of San Diego County (JA San Diego) announced Hanna Jensen has been promoted to Chief Impact Officer and will be expanding her role in the organization driving strategic initiatives and overseeing quality and growth across JA San Diego’s programming.
“I’m incredibly grateful and excited to step into the role of chief impact officer at JA San Diego. This work has always been about creating opportunities for young people, and I’m eager to build on that by expanding innovative programs, ensuring equity in our services, and strengthening how we measure our impact,” said Jensen. “Most of all, I look forward to collaborating with our team, partners, and community to continue to empower young people to follow their dreams and shatter glass ceilings.”

Jensen has been a tremendous asset to JA San Diego since joining in 2019 as the development manager, later serving as director of impact and development, and most recently as vice president of impact.
Jensen has implemented initiatives to expand access to JA programming for students attending low- to moderate-income schools and helped to drive the development of the JA Fellows program which connects high school students to social capital and paid work-based learning experiences.
“Hanna has been a critical part of JA’s growth, from capacity and resource development to program innovation,” said Sidd Vivek, president & CEO of JA San Diego. “We’re excited for her to take on this newly created leadership role and looking forward to her continued service to youth in the San Diego community.”
Jensen is committed to uplifting her community and is actively involved with several community-based organizations. She currently serves on the board at Toby Wells YMCA and California School-Age Consortium. Jensen additionally is a member of The San Diego Women’s Foundation and a San Diego LEAD Impact graduate.
