JA Announces New VP of Development
Junior Achievement of San Diego County (JA), is delighted to announce Karolyn Dale has joined the nonprofit as its new Vice President of Development. In this role, Dale, will lead fundraising initiatives to advance JA’s mission and help diversify philanthropic giving to support the nonprofit's growth and expansion.
“We are thrilled to welcome Karolyn to JA ,and look forward to the many contributions she will make in fundraising and development. This will provide more opportunities and experiences for our JA students to succeed beyond the classroom, while building financially strong futures,” said Marla Black, President and CEO at Junior Achievement of San Diego County.
Dale has a proven track record. In the past decade, she has successfully raised $10M in philanthropic funds to support local nonprofits. Prior to joining JA, Dale served, for three years, as the Major Gifts Officer at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute. During this time, she helped the medical research center achieve a $2.5 fundraising goal for 2016-2017. She was also responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of more than 150 individuals, foundations, community partnerships and corporate donors.

Dale graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in business administration.
