Junior Achievement Partners with AT&T to Empower San Diego Teens to Plan for their Financial Future

AT&T and Junior Achievement of San Diego are partnering to teach high school students how to create a budget, plan for their future and learn to make educated, smart and effective life choices. Through this partnership, Junior Achievement received a $20,000 contribution from AT&T to benefit the JA Teen Ambassador program. This collaboration allows the Ambassadors, a team of more than 50 high school students from all over San Diego, to be the first to participate in and shape the curriculum for a “JA Finance Park” financial literacy program set to launch in San Diego in 2015. Junior Achievement of San Diego Partners with The Control Group to Teach Code to Hoover High School Students as a Part of Computer Science Education Week

The collaboration is part of a JA Job Shadow Initiative which helps teens make the connection between what they are learning in school and their career aspirations

In honor of Computer Science Education Week (Dec.8-12), Junior Achievement of San Diego and The Control Group, the developers of InstantCheckmate.com (one of the most highly-trafficked website in the U.S.), are partnering to impact the lives of more than 80 students from Hoover High School by teaching them how to write HTML code. The event on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Hoover High, located at 4474 El Cajon Blvd. from 7 AM to 11 AM is designed for Hoover Academy of Information Technology’s (AOIT) students. These students are currently taking high-level courses specifically designed for a future career in computer technology. Read More
