DESCRIPTION:Join the ultimate investing competition! JA Stock Market Challenge is a fast-paced stock market simulation that invites high school students from across the county to compete in building the largest mock portfolio. Prior to the event\, students will spend 3-5 class sessions learning the fundamentals of investing and the stock market through the JA Take Stock in Your Future curriculum. \nOn the day of the event\, students will compete in teams participating in 60 simulated days of trading over the course of two hours. It’s a morning filled with excitement and friendly competition as students put their newfound knowledge to the test. DESCRIPTION:Student & adult event time: 9:30am-12:30pm\n\nFeaturing: JA Take Stock in Your Future\nThrough JA Take Stock in Your Future\, students discover the benefits and challenges of investing in the stock market as part of a broader\, long-term investment strategy and the risks and rewards of trading. (grades 9-12) The program includes five 45- minute sessions\, with additional extended learning activities and optional digital assets offered throughout\, including an optional online or site-based JA Stock Market Challenge competition. \nJA Stock Market Challenge is the culminating event for our JA Take Stock in Your Future program. This optional fast-paced mock stock market simulation invites students from all over the county to compete against each other to build the largest mock portfolio.
