2017 Pitch Fest Competition
12 Schools + 7 Districts + 700 Students = 2017 JA Company Program Competition
Over the next 13 weeks, 700 students from 12 high schools representing 7 school districts will begin their journey for the 2017 JA Company Program competition. JA Company Program, a hallmark of JA dating back to 1919, begins in the classroom as students create a product or service under the guidance of a JA mentor. The program allows students to start and manage their own business from the ground-up.
The next stop for the teen teams is Pitch Fest on Monday, March 20. The event will be held at SDG&E’s Energy Innovation Center in Clairemont Mesa. During Pitch Fest, students have the opportunity to pitch their business to local venture capitalists with a chance to take home capital funding to support their company.
If you live or work near San Diego High School and Grossmont High School, we need your help as a JA Company Program volunteer. In this role, you will work closely with the high school team in launching a business and teaching the students the basics of entrepreneurship.
