I joined Junior Achievement in 1997 for Junior Achievement of Central Pennsylvania as education manager of elementary school programs. After one year, I was promoted to district education manager for Lancaster County responsible for overseeing all K-12 grade programs and special events. I joined Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties in July 1999 as director of education.
Why is Junior Achievement important to the San Diego community?
Now more than ever it is essential to teach students financial education, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness skills. Junior Achievement is preparing the next generation of San Diego’s best business and community leaders.
What inspires you to work with Junior Achievement?
My passion is to give students the opportunity to realize their full potential, and JA gives students the tools to realize their dreams. It has been an amazing journey watching the Junior Achievement programs grow over the years. I am proud to be a part of an organization that is making a significant impact on our local community.
